Congratulations to our very own Susan Johnson for being recognized by United Way of the Mark Twain Area for "Inspiring the Future!"

From United Way's annual report: "Susan Johnson and this year's campaign theme, Inspire the Future, go hand in hand. Susan and the Hannibal Public School District have been relied upon partners of United Way for many years. This past year, the partnership between United Way and the District became greater through several new, special initiatives that Susan encouraged staff to pursue. These initiatives include the Pirate Pride Day of Caring and reading of the book, "Will you help me?" striving to build a culture of caring among local youth."

Susan shared that this is not her award, but the entire District's. "It truly is an honor to be recognized by United Way, but this award belongs to my staff and students of the District. We have amazing staff that care for the children in our schools, and our buildings are filled students want to help their peers. We all truly care for one another and want to see each and every individual succeed."

Every day is a great day to be a Pirate! 🏴‍☠️
