Meet Brooke Bergman, a talented artist and senior at HHS! 🎨 Brooke has dedicated herself to pursuing her passion for visual arts and illustration. Thanks to the HHS Job Shadowing Program, she's teamed up with Mr. Zimmerman to develop her skills and even launch an online store for her prints and clothing merchandise!
Brooke's unique style and hard work has earned her numerous awards and recognition in art shows. Now, she's been accepted into the prestigious Kansas City Art Institute with a $100,000 scholarship!

With the help from a "One Class at a Time" grant, Eugene Field's Kindness Club is establishing a "Kindness Corner" at their school, offering essentials like deodorant, hygiene products, and snacks. Inspired by students' heartfelt wishes, this initiative aims to support the school's culture of giving and support for each other and their community.

✨At Stowell Elementary, Mrs. Pryor's and Mrs. Houston's 1st-grade classes embarked on a special Valentine's Day project: collecting cards from all 50 states. 💌
They shared their request on social media, sparking a nationwide response. For the past few days, they've eagerly opened dozens of envelopes filled with love from across the country after lunch, even receiving surprises from Canada and Germany. 🌎💖
We were excited to join them today for their Valentine's Day party, celebrating the connections they've made with hearts near and far. 🎉🥰

Faces Behind the Phone: Meet Tina Ward, our Attendance Secretary at Veterans Elementary School. She joined HPS in 2004, and we are so grateful for all she does.🖤❤🏴☠️
Get to know Tina better:
🏴☠️Favorite Aspect of working at HPS: "I am very much a people person. Working with my school community gives me the opportunity to connect with students and parents. This job has many rewards in that we get to see the incoming kindergarteners from the community grow and thrive through elementary school and watch them branch out to the junior high. Then by the time they graduate I can say....it all started here at Veterans. I also have to add that I work with the absolute best team around!"
🐟Favorite Activities Outside School: "I love playing cards and having family game nights. One of these days I would like to get back into "Glamping", you know camping with all the hotel amenities? I have also been known to, (as long as there is someone there to bait the hook and take off anything caught) go fishing."
🤹♀️Hobbies/Talents: "I have become quite the juggler. Not in the sense you may think, but being able to multi task has made me quite the juggler. "
✨Unique Fact: "Some may not know that I am a mom to almost 22 year old triplets. They have kept me busy through the years and I continue to enjoy attending their functions at their respective colleges."
