Happy HPS #ShoutoutSaturday to one of our amazing bus drivers, Caleb Brookshire!
"Caleb has driven our children on bus 13 for quite some time. In that time, I have witnessed him greet each of them by name and with a smile every morning, graciously wait for us when we we’re running late, participate in spirit week dress up days, and even decorate his bus for the holidays. Caleb is very kind, respectful, polite and displays that to each student who enters and exits his bus every day. We truly appreciate Caleb and everything he does for the students of our school district! As my daughter says, “Mr. Caleb is the best!”

Mrs. Murphy's first grade students at Oakwood set a goal of completing 100 random acts of kindness from Martin Luther King Jr. Day through Valentine's Day (in honor of Dr. King) and they accomplished that goal today!
Also pictured are 'hats' students made in class after reading "Abe Lincoln's Hat" to hold valentines from their class party! Abraham Lincoln, the great leader and advocate that continues to inspire many today, was born February 12, 1809; making Valentine's Day a fun way to celebrate his leadership.
Let us remember that love isn't just about grand gestures or expensive gifts. It can also be found in the small moments of compassion and understanding that we show towards one another.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy HPS Shoutout Saturday to Mrs. Cassie Sullivan, Counselor at Mark Twain Elementary!
"Cassie has stepped into her new role as counselor with ease! Cassie welcomes each child in the morning with a big smile on her face! She sees the needs of struggling students and will help them in anyway possible. Cassie has a wonderful relationship with not only the students but the staff in the building. Thank you Cassie for all your hard work and dedication!"
