We’re so proud of our students for their community spirit! 🎉 HHS Key Club worked hard at this year's Folk Life Festival helping at the Hydesburg 'Kettle Korn' booth, the Salvation Army Pretzel booth, and the Project Grad 2025 Caramel Apple booth . Plus, they recently volunteered the Hannibal Police Department’s Halloween Party!

👽 Alien Alert in Ms. Garner's Film Class!🚨
In order to "protect their brains from alien mind-reading" (à la Signs by M. Night Shyamalan), HHS Film as Literature students went full tin-hat (in reference to the film)! 🤣 Here’s a peek of their "high-tech" creations. 👽🛸
Disclaimer: No actual aliens are targeting our district… as far as we know! 😉

🎉 English 10 Passion Projects! 👏
After six weeks of hard work, English 10 students recently presented on their passion projects! Each student chose a skill they love, learned or developed it further, and shared their new expertise with the class. The projects were diverse, creative, and a fantastic showcase of our students' enthusiasm on what they are passionate about!

🔬 Exploring fluorescent proteins at HHS! 🧬
Students in Ms. Bleigh’s Advanced Biology class took a deep dive into fluorescent proteins, studying how these proteins’ structure and function play a role in research and real-world science. Hands-on learning at its best! 🌟

HHS Student Council is excited to partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Thursday, November 7th from 8:30 to 1:15 in the lobby of Korf Gym. This is a fantastic opportunity not only to save lives but also to support our high school seniors in their quest for scholarships.
Every unit of blood donated can earn scholarship funds for our seniors, so the more donors we have, the more financial assistance they can receive for their higher education.
Your contribution can make a significant difference! Whether you're a student, parent, or community member, we encourage everyone to participate.
Please consider joining us to help those in need and support our future leaders. Together, we can make an impact!🩸
If you are interested in being a blood donor please email Christine Poage at cpoage@hannibal60.com with your preferred appointment time.

On October 15 & 16 we were able to hold our Apply MO event where students were able to apply to colleges and/or jobs, reach out to schools or recruiters, and get to create their FSA ID to get ready for their FAFSA applications that open December 1st.
Over 70 of our very busy seniors were able to attend ❤️🏴☠️

Friendly Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL Friday 10/25 or Monday 10/28(teacher in service day)
Have a great weekend Pirates!! ❤️🏴☠️
